Introduction
Tunji Idowu is the Founder and Managing Partner of BAAMI Advisory, an executive leadership and advisory firm that helps organizations strengthen leadership, governance, and improve the quality of leadership decisions.
He advises Boards, Chief Executives and executive leadership teams, helping them strengthen the judgment that underpins consequential decisions, communicate with clarity and exercise effective stewardship.
Leadership Philosophy
Tunji believes leadership is ultimately a discipline of judgment. Institutions rise or decline according to the quality of the decisions made at the top, and leadership can be strengthened through deliberate practice, honest challenge and disciplined reflection. For him, the true measure of a leader lies in what endures after that leader has gone.
His advisory approach is built on helping leaders to improve their decision quality as they think more clearly, communicate more effectively and decide better. The role of an advisor is not simply to provide answers, but to ask the questions that others may be reluctant to raise but needful to provoke deep reflections, and enhance decision quality.
Executive Experience
His executive career includes senior leadership roles at Chevron, and the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta, where, as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, he led large-scale initiatives in organizational development, economic development, peacebuilding, capacity building and institutional partnership within the complex operating environment of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
That combination of multinational corporate leadership and development institution leadership is unusual, and it shapes the counsel that he offers and spearheads.
Governance Experience
His governance experience spans Board leadership, Board advisory and trustee responsibilities across corporate, and development/non-profit institutions. Over a decade and across over 10 institutions provided practical insight into Board dynamics, executive oversight, stewardship and institutional accountability.

Tunji contributes to leadership thinking through writings on governance, leadership, executive judgment and institution building. Drawing on decades of executive leadership and advisory practice, his perspectives explore the challenges that Boards, Chief Executives and senior leaders face in building resilient institutions and leading through complexity.
Through BAAMI’s Insights platform, he publishes practical, experience-based perspectives intended to inform decision-making rather than simply comment on it. His personal reflections on faith and leadership are published separately on his own website.

Biography
For nearly four decades, Tunji Idowu has led across multinational business, the development sector and mission-driven institutions. From senior leadership at Chevron to serving as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), he has led organizations, built strategic partnerships and navigated complex stakeholder environments where leadership, governance and institutional trust determined long-term success.
These experiences shaped his conviction that leadership demands sound judgment, thoughtful stewardship and a long-term view of institutional success. He believes leaders ultimately measure their impact not only by the results they achieve, but by the strength, resilience and integrity of the institutions they leave behind.

She holds a background in management and accounting and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and as an Accounting Technician, combining commercial judgment with operational discipline. Her experience spans consulting, retail, hospitality, wellness and technology, where she has consistently translated strategy into action, streamlined business operations and delivered outcomes that support sustainable growth.
